It’s not uncommon for there to be some back and forth between your trademark attorney and the trademark examiner. Your trademark attorney will continue responding to the trademark office for no additional charge until there is a Final Refusal, provided that the continuing refusal covers the same issues we were hired to work on.
Very rarely (far less than 1% of cases), the trademark office will miss a problem in their initial refusal. They will issue a new refusal with this new issue and greatly increase the complexity of your case.
Because our original price quote did not include this new issue, your attorney may need to charge additional fees to proceed and will call you to discuss your options. Your attorney will never proceed with work that will cost you additional money without speaking with you first.
